Laws exist for a reason but I have to agree, it does seem unnecessarily complicated. Still, the Fortress isn't too bad a place to be if you ever find yourself down there. One free meal a day, a bed all to yourself, and the oppotunity to be compensated fairly for your work.

Winter is too observant not to notice the nature of that pause. He won't pry too heavily, since he and Wriothesley aren't exactly close, though he will pry a little. ]
