Yes, I do. I wasn't suggesting we actually "fraternize" with anyone, just see what happens if we stand together and look pretty.

I’m quite lucky in that regard, yes. I frankly don’t-- sorry, would you like to come in for a bit?

[ He steps out of the doorway to motion Wriothesley inside. Since he’s gotten the room style hologram, this is the vibe, just. You know, LILITH dorm sized and not hotel suite sized. ]

[ There's a murmur of appreciation - if you don't mind - though that quickly changes into a low whistle once he steps inside and catches sight of the decoration. Wow, his room looks like an empty warehouse compared to this. ]

Nice room. You pick all this out yourself?

I did. Most of it is illusory, though.

[ It's a hologram, he means. ]

Would that even half of these books were real. Still, it's nice to be surrounded by something more familiar, so I won't complain.

[ Don't mind him as he ambles towards the nearest bookshelf. It may not be real, but it's still interesting to see what's been chosen to grace these illusory shelves. ]

An avid reader, huh? What topics do you usually lean towards?

Nonfiction, mostly. History, philosophy, the study of the arcane.

[ That much is reflected on the shelves. There's some very esoteric-sounding titles there. ]

I'm something of a collector of knowledge.

[ It sure would be nice right about now if he could pluck one of those books off the shelf. As it stands, the admission has him turning, attention directed back towards Winter, palpable interest clear in every line of his (maid dress covered) body. ]

You must have quite the arsenal tucked away then. Got any fun facts to share?

[ Time to whip out some of my favorite and stupid bits of D&D lore– ]

Did you know that most creatures we know as hamsters are, in fact, miniature giant space hamsters?

There are giant space hamsters, which are about the size of a bear, and then there are miniature giant space hamsters, which are giant space hamsters that were shrunk by magic.

And they come from space.

How did they get here, if they're from space?

[ This is very serious lore for only the most serious loremasters. ]

I presume the wizards that shrank them decided to keep them as pets, and brought them home.

Duly noted. Are there any other animals that miniaturized space versions of themselves?

Very possibly. I don't have any tidbits about anything else in that vein, though.

I appreciate what you did offer up.

[ 'appreciate' is maybe a strong word, but at least he'll never forget it. ]

Was that knowledge something you picked up during your travels, or....?

More or less. A friend of mine has quite a bit of experience with things of this nature, so I learned it from her.

[ but doesn't everyone have that one friend that always has the most interesting collection of facts? ]

I'm only sorry I don't have anything quite so unique to share.

[ That friend also runs an interdimensional inn, so she sees all types. ]

Still, if you want to share something, I certainly wouldn't turn down a tidbit. I know very little about you or the world you come from.

I can't say I have anything on the level of space hamsters, but I can tell you that if you wear a hat backwards on Thursdays you'll be charged with a hefty fine and sent to serve a brief prison sentence.

[ There's another moment of silence before he tacks on helpfully: ]

Oh, and you can be imprisoned for eating ketchup by itself as well.

In fairness, anyone eating ketchup by itself deserves to be imprisoned. Why all the strange and particular laws, though?

[ Not both Winter and Malkuth condemning solitary ketchup eaters to imprisonment....but Wriothesley merely shrugs by way of reply. ]

The drama of it all, I suppose. Our ruling Archon, Lady Furina, has quite the flair for theatrics. Though personally I find it mostly tiring and confusing.
